I feel so lucky and blessed to have the father that I have. My dad is so great and I love him so much. He has always been a dear friend of mine and I have a huge amount of respect for him. He is loving, hard working, and selfless. He has taught me so many things and I owe a lot to my father.
When Father's Day rolled around this year, I took it upon myself to organize our family gifts to him. We got him some cool stuff that has newly sparked his interest lately. We all pitched in to get him some eagle, globe, and anchor jewelry in remembrance of his time in the marines. We also got him a pair of these and a phoenix vest because he just bought his own piece of farm land and we tease him that he is becoming a cowboy. Lastly, we got him the movie Invictus because when we saw it in the theater together he loved it.
Not only did he love his gifts, he loved getting to spend the whole day with us. Usually he can't spend a lot of time with us anymore because he works full time and goes to school. But this year we just got to relax with him and eat some delicious chicken that my mom made. It was a great daddy day!
