I started a new job, as some of you that read my stuff know.
I work with this guy, and he is kind of annoying.
Well, not kind of.
He really, really is.
I'm pretty open about being a deviant (thank you little whip!), and one deviant knows another. Apparently, not well enough. Well, that was until he heard I was a deviant too, and started hitting on me. I'm sure, in another time and place, I would be flattered. There is one problem.
He follows a stereotype.
He is what we would call flaming gay. Now, I am not saying that there is anything wrong with that, I just find men like that....disturbing.
I hate the way that people feel that they have to act a certain way, especially when they are gay. Once you come out of the closet, you don't have to lose the muscles in your wrist, watch Queer as Folk, and cover yourself in gay pride stickers. I mean, you do if you want the world to know that you are a deviant. Most of the time, it doesn't matter. BUT, when they make it so that it is right in your face, that is not good. At least, I don't think it is that good. I think that it annoys me. I kinow it does.
There is no reason that people have to buy into a conception of who they are supposed to be. It is fairly important to be yourself. Buying into a percieved image because you belong to a cliche or a sub-class of the human race doesn't mean you have to advertise it.
Oh, and to Mr. K, the guy in my training.... no, I will not suck you off in the bathroom.
Peace out.
