With palms together,
Good Morning Everyone,
Yesterday was not one of my finest. I woke feeling very dizzy and emotionally unstable.. So many large changes, changes which undermine my sense of stability. My son Jacob arrived and, with a friend, moved all of our furniture into the garage except a bed and a few lamps.and pillows. We are pretty much on the floor now. My other son, Jason, will be arriving this afternoon with family and moving truck.
So, between now and then we have to get the rest of our things packed and in the garage and the house cleaned.
I presented a talk on Contemplative Judaism yesterday morning at Temple Beth El. It was fairly well attended, but as I say, I wasn't up to snuff. I thought I did OK, but that's about it. The topic amazes me. There is such a large and growing contemplative movement afoot across the board in Judaism. I don't think I communicated that very well.
On the other hand people seemed very interested in the topic. Many practice their own forms of Jewish contemplation. A few references to Zen sort of rounded the thing out. I was fortunate to find a really nice image/chart that was very helpful to attendees,
Be well.
