Local soccer season has started for my boys, so I'm going to be doing a lot of traveling in the next two months... three hours there, three hours back, as often as I can.
Practice for pseudo jr is Monday and Thursday. akulaboy has his Wednesday and Friday. That leaves games on Tuesday and Saturday... but I'll really only get to see the Saturday games. Things were complicated somewhat by the league not publishing schedules until this week, with practices and games starting this week. I wound up not picking the boys up until 2100 Friday so akulaboy could go to soccer practice. And I'll be heading up on my Monday off so that pseudo jr won't miss his first real practice of the season.
I think they both missed their first games, but I really wasn't willing to not have them this weekend. And, besides, their mother wouldn't have been there anyway, and I'd still rather them be with me than her boyfriend.
All in all, even with the extra miles on the car (and on myself), I'm really looking forward to seeing them play.
