I realize that there is still love and some romance...but what will happen in the years to come....
You know you've all seen the MTV "music" videos and some bullcrap movies and thought romance and true love (between 2 nonrelated people) is prevalent. But if you're in public for hours and observe the relationships of others, especially in school or the workplace, you've seen that some people are lovestruck for a few weeks and then quickly tire of their partner...think for a while and you'll find someone you know that does this. I have some friends (Not Cornbread,carebear,beebles,delong...at least I don't think so) that truly believe they are in love but break up in a heartbeat without warning...The thing is, I believe, that their judgement and expectations are being clouded and warped. Also, most of them are not romantic, at all....not the fancy restaurant, hotel, crap...but just flowers, candy, a card, or a special place to go...not expensive but meaningful nonetheless. It seems as though people "go out" just for the heck of it...Not all mind you but a lot. Its sad to see some couples together that don't develop over time and most of all...no love...not real love...just fabricated bits of lust. If only people wouldn't be victimized by the falsehoods in the media and follow their heart...not their thoughts. There may be a good bit of Old School love out there and some romance but not like in the older times...
If you pay attention in History class you would know that the soldiers in the Civil War...some still teens would write wonderful love letters back to their girlfriends and spouses...but now if you were to read the letters, what would they consist of? Probably lust...not very poetic just a little description of what has happened and to tell them not to f*&% anyone while they're gone...
You may not agree with this...but I'm sure you'll find some truth in what I say...too much thinking on looks and appearance and not loving...because most people are afraid that they will be rejected and do not want that kind of pain...so they don't open up...
As for romance...people, men, just get your ladies something nice or take them somewhere special...on a whim...trust me, this may just increase the bond you already share. If you don't get along or feel controlled or cold towards on another...just bail out...its not worth it to waste both of your lives in an awkward situation....
I hope these words will inspire and ignite the flames of Love and Romance at least in a few, until next time...
