I'm not one to brag, either, but I know all the answers to Yahoo Questions....well all those I read and remember, that is.

The fact is, the use of the English language has changed over the years, particularly with the advent of computing, so in essence, depending on country of origin/the old or new school of thought to which one may belong, we could for ever be correcting one anothers grammar.

I prefer to use the old school method of correct grammar and spelling myself, but in the end, grammar and spelling comes down to being able to convey thoughts and messages in a comprehensible manner to the majority of literate persons.

I also use these "...." in excess...

So do I, as do many others, but I only do so in forums, emails, instant messaging and etcetera, never in a formal letter....which comes down to the advent of that computing thing....when typing it is more convenient than when writing by hand ....moreso when you're a one finger typist, like myself.

What really pisses me off is that leet and 1337 crap: simply it's a bastardisation of the English language and I point blank refuse to even attempt trying to decipher it, as all my contacts have been warned. The one person who defied my wishes and sent an email written in 1337 was immediately blocked, never to be re-admitted to my allowed contacts list, such is my abhorrence of its use.

Okay, so I exaggerated a little, but at least I didn't quantify....but then I was never good at math or percentages when I went to school.

Essentially I only learned two of the three R's at school.....rascalism and that thing Americans call it when they're barracking for their favourite sports team.

The third R (reputable) is starting to kick in now....just hope its not in too much of a hurry the get established, given there's a bit of mischief I'd very much still like to accomplish.

Yep, like the Big Bang theory....so glad they got the spelling and grammar right there, otherwise we could very well still be communicating in grunts and groans in an alternate universe...like still in the Stone Age.

Oh, I forgot, there are individuals who still converse in grunts and groans. So much for evolution and the never ending progression of mankind, then.

I had one really good sucess story though. So woman asking how to get her husband and her mother-in-law to pitch in with the house work. The advice I gave actually worked, and she thanked me in the comments.
