Drip, drip, drip,
Drops of water,
Falling, falling, falling,
From the overcast sky.
Tiny droplets,
Splashing over me,
Carrying with them,
My pain, my anger, my strife,
To the ground.
This water from heaven,
Washing my sins away.
A feeling so pure,
I feel fresh,
I feel brand new.
The rain,
Soothing and cool.
Extinguishing the fire in me,
Evoking the peace from within.
Thank you,
O life giving rain,
Thank you so very much,
For taking away my pain.
I’m feeling better now.
The clouds have started to cry,
They have calmed my soul,
These showers from the sky.
Pouring from heaven,
A gift from above,
