One line,
One thin fragile line
Can separate,
Can divide,
The most powerful emotions
That humans hold.
Love,
We take for granted.
Sometimes not even noticed,
Such beauty lies in love,
But so hard to find it seems.
Hate,
Hate takes control,
And drives us to evil.
Such a black emotion.
We know when we hate,
We always know.
We love to love,
We hate to hate.
We love to be loved,
And we hate to be hated.
What controls such feeling?
How can two emotions invoke such power?
Hatred that drives us to do harm,
Love that teaches us to build.
Why can’t we replace hate with love?
What breaks the line that divides them?
One word?
A look?
A deed?
One thing that pushes the mind,
To one side or the other?
