I tend to agree with preacherman. I have no problem with people debating religion in the religion section, but some people just go there to be assholes. Myrrander just wanted to get a couple of jabs in, not discuss the topic.
I think everyone was supportive of T.W., and then combatmedic came in and started whining about religion being for the "weak minded". Feel free to look back and see if that kind of insult was provoked.
Myrrander CAN be a decent guy, but to me he is often more concerned with entering a conversation just to jab at one of the participants with no apparent interest in the discussion. There's no doubting he can be insightful, I have a perma-link to him on my blog.
I think what preacherman is talking about is the incessent need to chime in and say disrespectful things to religious people just because you can get away with it online.
Walking into a conversation about someone's beliefs and calling them "weak minded" is pretty crass, though Texas Wahine seemed to think it was constructive. It's her blog, though, I don't have to visit.

Before you start telling Preacherman he is out of his element, you should at least be there yourself. Catholicism is Christianity, just as much as any other number of flavors.
