Chapter One: A Typical Day
He slammed the alarm clock hard onto the nightstand beside his bed as the chiming of 4:30 a.m. once again shattered the warm coziness of his nightly slumber. "Urghh!!!! Another day at the North Pole," he thought to himself as he shuffled to his feet and headed for the bathroom. "At least I always get first dibs on the bathroom before the line forms. That's the only advantage of being up at such a stinky, early hour." Rudy said out loud to himself. He often talked to himself. It was just his way. After he finished his bathroom business he heads out ot the barn beneath the beauty of the northern lights to feed the reindeer. "Time to turn off the lights." He flips a lights switch that has a sign above it that reads, Aurora Bore??, Auroura Bour???, Northern Lights!, and the night sky goes out and daylight blinds his tired eyes. "Ouch, gets me everytime!" "Good morning, you hungry reindeer. if I ate as much as you guys do, I'd die! Where do you put it all? Nevermind, I see where it all goes. Man, it smells out here!!! "He sees the piles of reindeer poo in the stalls. Rupert, the Head Reindeer laughs outloud,"You should be used to it after 2000 years, Rudy!! "I know, I know!" Rudy replied with a sneer as he finished his daily chore he'd been doing his whole life.
