Also when I got this new computer all I did was install OD plus 2. Yet I have both the regular and 2 in my Programs list. Have no idea which one I'm using and only know if I add docks I have to put them in the regular OD Background lins in order to see them. I want to delete the regular OD but don't want to lose my setup so it stays. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Don't know about the first stuff (deleted) but as for knowing which you are using, Dock 2 has an entirely different front end. You have to choose "Settings" on your dock and then usually "Settings" again and you get a window that lists all your docks. You can scoot around between them to adjust things. Old OD has a menu that is tall and often another menu to choose other docks. OD is loaded via the Startup folder (at least mine always was) I had to take that out when I installed OD2 Once I got the old one out of the Startup menu, then the other loaded fine by clicking on the link. I ended up putting the new one into the Startup folder to load it when starting. I had to do some tweaking to get it to look the way I wanted. The darn thing ignored where I had my downloaded backgrounds and such, so I moved them to the OD Plus folder in the appropriate places. I also moved all my downloaded things from the old OD to the new one as well. I had collected quite a few and immediately missed some of them when I switched. So once you make sure you are running the correct one and find that you are missing stuff, you might need to reinstall or search for them and move them where they will be found. New OD will copy your bars and tabs and such, it is just all the other things like alternative bars and icons you might loose if you don't copy them.
Dunno if it was the proper thing, but I have now all those hundreds of icons and twenty some bars where they can be used.
