Bahu writes: UK is no stranger to riots. In fact there is a whole school of English historians led by E J Hobsbawm who argue that riots are the end result of the breakdown of the "moral economy", I wonder what "moral economy" is represented by the football skinheads or the motley crew that attacked businesses and shops.
The moral economy is doing the right thing and the rioting shows exactly what E.J. Hobsbawn rightly argues...the riots are the breakdown of the moral economy.
You write: The riots are prooof that the social fabric of UK society has started shredding and it is time for politicians to stop playing to the European gallery and start listening to their own people.
I would argue that it is the moral social fabric of the UK that is shredding and has been shredding for some time now.
What is the moral economy based upon? It's based upon God's Moral Law dictated by our voice of conscience and written in our heart.
You write: It is time for UK to realise that the broad masses of its population is out of sync with the European Union position on crime, immigration, and human rights.
It's time for the UK to realize the broad masses of its population is out of sync with Almighty God and the social teachings of Christ the King of kings.
Forget the EU which is part of the difficulties in these tumultuous times. It's time for the UK to get back to God and it's Catholic roots which it defected from in the time of Henry VIII.
