It's pretty fun actually, to me at least it feels less like a Total War game and more like a real-time version of Elven Legacy somehow. Probably because when one unit has a tactical advantage over another, victory seems much quicker and decisive than in the TW series. The AI appears to be fairly competent, too, unlike recent TW titles, but I haven't played enough to make a definite judgement on it yet.
Still, at the very least it's a change of pace, and it *is* a gorgeous game. If it weren't for that ever-present UI, I'd probably take some screenshots to use as wallpaper
Recommended for any TW player looking for a change of pace, or any strategy gamer still cautious of this whole "real-time" thingie.
Ohh, and I've had no crashes so far either, though it got 'stuck' on the title screen once. Probably playing the intro video in the background, as pressing Esc fixed it.
