So apperently the 3DS actually does work as advertised. Now we just need a price and release date. And looking at the release titles... wow, I'm impressed.
And now I'm watching the Sony press confrence. Seems to me like it's mostly a whole lot of subtle and not so subtle jabs at Nintendo and Microsoft. So far, I am very unimpressed with Move. Yay Wii rip-off! And look, a Sports Champion game! And a demo of Tiger Woods. First of all, why are they still using him to market anything? And second of all, how many more motion golf games to we need?
Some of the demo videos show people playing with two lollipo... I mean Move controllers. So they're going to make you buy two of them to play some games? And they're $50 each...
Oh, and speaking of rip-offs, Sorcery totally screamed "Harry Potter" to me.
3D for the PS3 is almost a good idea, but you still need to buy a 3D TV, so add a couple hundred dollars in addition to the overly expensive PS3. Not to mention the 3DS one-uped them. Portable, no glasses, and probably a couple hundrend dollars cheaper.
Overall, I'd say Sony's is much more underwleming than Microsoft's. At least MS showed off some genuinely new tech, even if it is also over priced.
EDIT: Little Big Planet 2 does look pretty good, though. Not surprised at all that they're announcing a subscription service.
EDIT 2: mmm, Portal 2. How much did Sony have to pay Valve to get that in their conference?
EDIT 3: Holy ****! There might be a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the 3DS! http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/101392-Nintendo-Remaking-Legendary-Zelda-Ocarina-of-Time-For-3DS
