I purchased Multiplicity and verified at [email protected] that Multiplicity would work on Windows 7 x64 and they said yes. So I went ahead and bought the product. 2 hrs later, I still am not able to get the product to work. Here is what I've done so far:
1. Install Multiplicity
2. Installed Impulse
3. Via Impulse I updated Multiplicity to version 1.24.
4. Checked firewall rules.
5. Hardwired my notebook and PC to the same switch.
I've had no success in getting this to work. When it connects and I move my mouse to the 2nd computer's screen, it goes black. What's happening is on the 2nd screen, the mouse cursor remains permanent on the bottom right corner of the screen which on Windows 7 is the show desktop button. When the mouse of over the show desktop button it automatically minimizes all screens. Now when I try moving the mouse back to the 1st screen, the mouse disappears. The only way I can get mouse control on the 1st PC which is the primary PC is to stop the stardock multiplicity service on the 2nd PC. Once I do this, on the 1st PC, I get mouse control.
I tried calling them for support since basically the primary PC running Multiplicity became unuseable. I had no luck. All I got was basically a voice mailbox stating to email [email protected] and to wait 2 business days for a response. I don't see how this is feasible support for this product. So far my experience with the product and support has been very disappointing.
If anyone has had the same issue I have please share. Otherwise, I'll pursue to return the product so I purchase elsewhere for the same solution.
