I've been watching a lot of Jane Austen movies lately, and I'm trying to figure out why. Obviously, the ridiculously romantic endings have something to do with it lol. But I think I also really love watching how love between two people develops. Austen does an amazing job of having her hero and heroine come together despite all odds. Not rank, or station, or hardships can keep them apart and I love that.
Right now I'm really into Mansfield Park. I've watched it a couple times since its been on Hulu, and its really good. It's definitely got some really hard situations that the characters go through. But I really love how Fanny and Edmund meet in childhood and grow to love eachother that way. And that even when they try to make themselves love somebody else, it can't keep them from still being in love with eachother.
Watching Jane Austen movies always makes me wonder what it was like to live back then. They didn't have things like conair hair products, mma gear (which is really important to my husband lol), or these to spend their money on. What did they spend their money on? Sometimes I think it would be nice to live in the days of courtship and dresses. Anyway, you can watch Mansfield Park on Hulu right now, like I mentioned before. You can find it here. Enjoy and Peace.
