Hello, and thank you in advance for your helpful replies!
I use an Asus M50Sa laptop running Vista Home Premium (32 bit), I am pretty sure it is updated to the current version.
My problem: Under Network Connections, I must manually find and log in to my W-LAN router manually every time the computer starts or wakes up from "sleep" (including the times the lid is shut), thus also disconnecting me from online programs etc., although I have "Connect To This Network Automatically" checked. The very very bizare thing is: My computer will actually do this (I start it up or wake it up, it finds my network and connects to it automatically), but only once in every 150 or so starts! To me, that doesnt make sense, almost as if the computer were "moody" and not following causal laws of electromagnetics.
Sadly, I am not computer savvy, I am a real windows idiot, and I don't know what to do. All I want is for me to start the computer and for it to automatically find my W-LAN and log into it, like it does so rarely. I don't know if it is a windows problem or if there is some other software problem going on which blocks its automatic connection thingy.
Can anyone help me, or point me to the right place where I can find an answer, without having to read and understand lots of hacker stuff? I am really a computer idiot. Thank you very much in advance!
