You really do need to stop drinking the kool-aid and get out and see what the swing voters are saying.  Right now, they are saying a big loss for Obama.  Palin was everything they wanted to see, biden was nothing of what they wanted to see.

As ID says, the loons are kicking and screaming, and getting their lunch handed to them with force.  The best that Obama was able to muster coming out of his convention was a 5 point bump, lower than any candidate since Bob Dole in 96.  And you saw what happened to him.

I have a strong suspicion that you, and a lot of others currently in either denial or apoplexy (the MSM falls into the latter group), grossly underestimate this woman.

I think we may have caught our first glimpse of a woman who will eventually be President, maybe the first woman to do so.  I believe Rudy was right - Obama looked to the past to shore up his campaign; McCain looked to the future to shore up his.

3. Harvard degrees are like moldy sliced bread.  As has recently been shown, they are very over priced considering the value they bestow.  And in the end, they mean no more than any other degree, only what is done with them.  IN this case, virtually nothing.

4. The "mean streets" of chicago are that way BECAUSE of Obama.  It is his policies while a politician up there that, while perhaps not creating them, surely perpetuated them.

Bahu, this is quite shocking that you would respond this way.  Obama's campaign went out trying to belittle her mayorship of a town pop of 9K.  Now when she responds it's 'bad taste'?  Maybe I missed the logic?

Yes they are. They are looking up asking God why he is doing this to them and praying they still have a chance to win. I mean, they were happy just a few days before when hurricane Gustav was heading towards New Orleans as they believed God was on their side.

As usual I was right. I had predicted this long before the ethics Committee indicted Sahara Palin with abuse of power in connection with the sacking of the state trooper, who was her former Brother-in-law. She will certainly hurt the prospect of John Maccain in the upcominfg election.

There was no indictment.  And no crime.  Better re-read on it.  And Palin is not going away.  The fact that so many on the left want her to shows why she is an asset and not a liability - they dont demand things from strenght and if she was a real liability, they would be cheering her on, not demanding her withdrawal.  Fear is their factor.  If Obama pulls away, you will see less hate mongering about Palin because she will be a non-factor.  But so far, she is a positive for McCain.

I agree - If you are for McCain, you see leadership.  If you are for Obama you see opportunism.  And if you are conservative and for neither - you see a bunch of hoo-haw.  Or as Shakespeare would say - much ado about nothing.

As for people's mindset - I have problems with figuring my wife's!  I am not about to try to figure out everyone else's.
