Meh, you say it like it's bad to compromise. We ain't getting a stinkin' conservative any way we go, and McCain's the closest it can get. Second, the guy himself can very well make press talkie.
There isn't a single reason why any honest, ethical conservative to back McCain. There is voting against Obama and there is mindlessly voting Republican (even though the Republican party has blatantly told Conservatives there is no place in their party for us anymore). Of course, we are still waiting to see who McCain chooses as a runningmate, which is his final chance at showing a little backbone. Personally, I doubt the little jellyfish will choose someone who will further prove his allegiances to the Democrats, but I am willing to wait and see on that one.
I hope that it'll be Huckabee. I really do. But I do believe that McCain isn't as bad as he's painted to be.
The one reason, if nothing else, is the lesser of evils syndrome.
