I am not paid to blog...

anymore :(

If something is too good to be true, well, it probably is! Almost a whole year I got away with whoring the forums at work… chiming in now and then, chastising here, or encouraging there, all the while, on someone else’s time – so in short, I was being paid quite a nice salary to whore the forums, alas, the good times are over with, and I must revert to whoring in my own time.

Muggaz adventures was becoming quite popular around the office, with many a colleague reading what I had written, having a chuckle, and then offering their own little spin – one of my colleagues, The Cassman even started his own blog here at JoeUser – and it was only a matter of time before the system administrators here at work clued on to the proficient traffic to a non-work related website.

I think I got away with it for so long because I run the logistics of internal systems here at work, and the reports were only given to those in senior positions if the matter was dire – I guess they found out. One day, I came to work, typed www.joeuser.com into the browser, and I was greeted with none other than a big red webpage stating violation of the Internet usage policy, I sighed, and realised the game was up.

I am certainly no pessimist, and not always an optimist, but I can only see positives arise from this situation.

- I will no longer have to use the mute button to disguise my cursing when I read an insolent comment whilst I am at work on the phone to a client or colleague

- I will no longer reply in haste when I read an article I find particularly offensive – having the time and resources to articulate what I need to say, in the most humane way possible – refraining from the use of words such as fatwa and moron

- I will do a better job at work, concentrating on what I am supposed to be getting paid for – rather than coasting by on my expert multitasking skills, hopefully getting a promotion sooner or later, into management, where I can do what I want, which may or may not include visiting JU

- Absence makes the heart grow fonder – I will have more love for JU, and JU will have more love for me – as if you didn’t love me enough already!!!

I think I will certainly feel the absence though, as peak blogging times are whilst I am at work, so actual interaction will be cut to a bare minimum, It will be a shame, because I have made some awesome friends whilst blogging, and I love seeing what everyone has been up to in the morning when I get to work, but not as much as I love doing work in the morning, which is what I am supposed to be doing right!

Inadvertently, my boss discovered Muggaz Adventures so it’s quite possible that he is reading this right now! I am sure he likes what he is seeing! Lamentably, I think he has better things to do with his time – if not; here is a big hello to you big boss man!

If your boss reads this then *Ahem* Hello Mugz boss *flutters eye lashes* Mugz is a great worker, one of your best (apart from Cass he is a class of his own) when he isn't talking on messenger, writing articles, making comments, and sending e-mails. He is excellent, hehe! Seriously, youwill be missed Mugz, you already have been! This doesn't mean you can just abandon us though young man, don't make me stalk you!

AS if i could leave Sally you big Goose... I miss you guys a fair bit, and the time zone thing is making me angry... I was talking to Sir Peter at 6.30am my time this morning, and when I get home, everyone is sleeping!

Since my sister moved in next door, I've been using the 'emergency key' to come in and log on.
She's caught on, unfortunately.
I hollered out the window this morning to see if I could use the net, and she said, "only if you do my dishes first.... and I'm keeping tabs..."

I checked today... I can access it again, but I am using my better nature to stay away from it at work... time to actually exert myself instead of just coasting with the gifts I was born with

A bit of both, I think. There are a handful of blogs here that I check in on every day or two. The writing is fantastic, but the people are superb!

The reason why I have been breaking in is because it's saving me a good half hour in travel time to get to a computer with internet access. The good thing about having to do her dishes in exchange for using her computer? Her idea of having to do dishes involves, like, four of them. When I do my dishes its generally every single dish I own!

I am glad you are about!

While I haven't been posting on the forums at work, it is a combination of writing automatically inspired articles, posting them, and then seeing what my blogging buddies are up to as well... it certainly is a bit of a combination... I have just been writing my blogs in an email template, so I cannot be traced! my inspiration doesn't suffer, but I am certainly missing the interaction... you are all wierdo's, and I love it

Haha,
It's good that you are concentrating on work muggz! When I am working at a comp for 13 or more hours a day i don't
generally want to spend too much time sitting infront of my home box.

I can understand your loss but I am glad you can see the positives in there. I mean it's not like you can never Blog again...you just can't do it while getting paid to work...that's all. And who knows how far you'll go if you're actually working..at work.
