Mornin Y'all,
Morgle B. Snurd (the "B" stands for Bartholomew),
Y'all are gonna LOVE this one............BUT you will need a "Sick Vet" to SMELL it for yourself.
There is/was this lovely Emergency Room Doctor who was working in the Fayetteville,N.C
Veterans Administration HospitalEmergency Room on the evening/night shift.
A while back, while we were visiting in North Carolina .
I needed a form filled out for the Alaska Marine Hiway Disability pass that had expired while we were
"Down South" .And because the V.A. has access to my history.
I knew it would be easier to get it filled out at the V. A.,rather than one of the local "Urgent Care" clinics.
ANYWAY,I called the VA and the nurse told me to come on the night shift,
because it is the slowest time for the E.R.
I showed up and signed in,and after a wait of 1&1/2 to 2 hours,I was shown into the exam room .
When the "Doctor" showed up,I almost gagged. He SMELLED like a wino that has urinated on his clothes repeatedly, for
WEEKS..
After a few LONGGGGGGGGGGG STINKY SMELLY minutes,I had my form in hand and was on my way.
I asked them at the desk IF anyone had ever talked to him about his body ODOR,,and the staff directed me to the hospital admin.
I wrote a note on the VA official website about this particular doctor, and how I thought his LACK of Hygeine might affect the patients he saw who were IN the V.A. Hospital in Fayetteville,N.C.
I later heard from the V.A. that they had investigated my concern and had NOT found them to be credible.
Out of curiousity,I called the E.R. in Fayetteville,N.C. one night when the pain pills were not doing the job,and asked the E.R. Clerk IF the Stinky doctor was working tonite??
She waited a few seconds before telling me,that Someone counselled the E.R. Doctor,
and he had at least started to wash his clothes.
She said he had taken to wearing this GodAwful Cologne to try and cover up the STINK,
but now the combined smell was even worse.
The reason I bring this up is,. ANYONE with hygeine habits this bad is a walking bacteria swamp.
And I don't believe any veteran deserves this QUACK working on Open Sores,Changing bandages,
or putting the veteran pateint at risk.Just because the V.A. Will NOT pay the salary that a GOOD doctors earns in a year.
The real question is WHY it took a VETERAN to bring this subject up??
I know the Staff at the hospital could Smell him,
WHY did the Union Government Employee's NOT say anything to the hospital about this ??
After all, they are protected by the union, and whistle blower laws(if they apply)
IF I had not needed that form filled out,I wonder
How much longer the staff have allowed him to work on Vets,
endangering the Veterans health without saying anything.
I can guarantee you that None of the staff would allow this "Doctor" to touch their loved ones.
But,of course I and the others are "Just" veterans,of no worth to anyone who works for the V.A.
Just a question from someone whose pain pills are not working as well as advertised.
Life Sucks Then You Die,
Nuff Said,
