I no longer believe in any of the teachings of Christianity. But neither do I believe that all Christians are odious in the practice of their faith as KFC.
Note to the less than observant - because I believe that the manner in which KFC practices her faith is odious, repugnant, and contemptible, does not mean that I apply those epithets to the person of KFC - except on occasion, when I allow my irritation at the nonsense she posts under the guise of 'teaching' to run away with me. Certainly there are many thoughtful Christians who are well educated in their faith, and who practice that faith with real charity. But KFC is not among them. She's read much - but understands nothing. Her faith is a mere parroting of scripture, scripture which she applies with the crudest literalism. For her, God exists so that she might be saved - and then crow about that salvation from the dunghill of her pride and self-satisfaction, while pointing the finger of condemnation at everything and everyone who does not agree with her.
I am sure KFC is a good wife, a good mother and a good citizen. I'm equally sure that she believes the nonsense she presents as Christian theology and eschatology. But being sincere does not make you honest; it does not make you a good witness; and it does not make you a good Christian. Sincerity is, in her case, no more than the justification of her bigotry.
And since no one else has the erudition or the understanding with which to confront her, I have taken it upon myself to present to her the facts of her canting prejudice at every turn.
