There's nothing illegal or inappropriate about censorship. Sometimes it is just a matter of taste, like having the human decency and respect not to show someone's loved-one's severed head. That kind of decency is all too rare, as evidenced here by this... person.
I don't think editors offer ENOUGH censorship, frankly. The news industry lies in ruin because it is turning more and more into solely editorial, pundit-driven filth. People go looking for news and they get some Dem or Rep bobblehead spewing venom. Then, when people complain that reporters should report the facts, those reporters claim "censorship".
If the government through act or threat prevents stories from being published, then sure, that is an infringment of our freedoms, so long as the information doesn't endanger lives, national security, or the prosecution of criminals. Otherwise, there's no reason to believe that anyone has the right to impose their opinion on any private news outlet.
If you want to talk about Google and censorship, talk about China. Talk about Cisco Systems selling infrastructure to track dissidents and Yahoo! ratting them out so that they can be imprisoned and "re-educated". All we have in the US are a bunch of whiners that think the constitution gives them the right to impose their insipid opinions on all of us. It doesn't.
