By the way narby, way to show exactly what you're focused on when reading my posts. Nothing in response but to pick apart my post and completely ignore my point. Makes me wonder why I even bother coming here anymore...............pointless really.
It's not about 'picking apart' your post... it's the whole idea of the assumption or expectation, that is making my point.
Germany has 100 million people (give or take) so its not farfetched to expect (*changed to satisfy the grammar-nazi's around here*) that a country with 300 million could do it too.
Both of which are groundless, for merely making an argument based on population count is ludacris
Then you argue against yourself...
The problem is exactly as you're describing Brad.....each state thinks of itself as a country unto itself. The problem in the US isn't the number of people OR the disparity of income level (which exists everywhere.....just ask a Turkish immigrant in Germany), it's the lack of unity of state of mind. Plain and simple.
Wha What? This country is NOT Canada or Germany or France or anything other than the U.S.A.. This country was not designed to be run like any other country. Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness are not just trivial 'oh, that sounds nice' sort of gibberish. It was paid for in sweat and blood. The details of those 3 ideas are far deeper than most people understand. This country does not need to change in any way shape or form to appease the rest of the world from some silly political correctness booshwa. (sidenote... I had to look it up on google to see if I spelled 'booshwa' right, and I am not sure if I've ever read the word before, but merely heard it.) means B**LS**T... in french.
Up here in Canada
Is this more of another Canadian looking 'down their nose' at the U.S.? Get over yourselves up there. You Dudley Do-rights are no better. Hell, Canada sits up there north of our border (with over 75% of it's population living within 100 miles of the U.S.) like an economic leech.
each state thinks of itself as a country unto itself.
Warning, SARCASM : Now due to my previous statement, since Canada and the U.S. are so interwoven... I think Canada should just join the U.S. and make 1 country out of 2, we'll call it Americanada.
