I other words she's the Crew Chief.
Former member of the US Army's 101st Airborne Division and the Crew Chief was responsible for Rappelling and the door gunner was less than NCO rank.
So, you can see why my question.
Plus having the "gun" would have added to the baddassery picture.
Thankyou for your service Brother.
I was an Army Cadet from 12 years old, joined The Army at 17, Raced Through the ranks Up to CSM (Company Sgt Major, or you may know it as Warrant Officer Class 2) Left the Army Still A Young Man, so became a PMC
I Have 5 Combat Tours Under My Belt, 3 In Africa, and 2 in Yugoslavia. In the UK Military Warrant Officers can do may Jobs on the Heli, Even Fly It as per there Rank , and lots of crews try to stick together. Door Gunners can be corporal, Sgt, or Warrant Officers. Experienced crews Can Have A 2nd Lieutenant pronounced (Leftennant) as Pilot with a WO2 as Door Gunner amongst other things.
Crew Chiefs in the UK are in Charge Of Ground Support Services, Re Arming, Maintenance, Re Fueling, they run there own group of Soldiers as its there job to keep the Aircraft Ready For Anything, and to set up fueling points along an extended Flight, they may have a Corporal, and several Airtroopers, which is the same as an Enlisted Man in the US.
I have Trained with members of Your Guys in the past, Good People " Train Hard Fight Easy".
Respect To You Brother.
