Silly NBC... airing a repeat of Chuck tonite while CBS has new episodes of their Monday night comedies. My daughter will be happy watching the new shows there while I'll have to settle for watching repeats or hunting down something else in the guide since I can't watch a new episode of Chuck and have no real interest in watching a repeat of it. I really wish NBC would start airing Chuck "non-stop" in a similar manner as FOX had done with 24. No repeats during the season, just a run of 20+ straight weeks of the same series. At least once it gets rolling you can enjoy the series with no break, but apparently Chuck just can't get any love from the suits at NBC. Argh!
Other than that, as I catch up from the holidays and start getting back into a routine, I'm looking at stopping by the fitness facility on the work campus this evening to see about signing up. Not that I'm into New Years resolutions and such, but I really would like to start getting back into shape, dropping about 20 - 30 pounds (if possible. That would still leave me heavier than I should be, but at least I'd be healthier for the most part) and signing up there and using the treadmills and exercise bikes seems to be the best bet.
I had a treadmill at home and would still love to have one there but unfortunately couldn't find a good place to set it up and use it regularly. If I were to move my pet birds out of the space they are in, the space where a few of their cages sit would be great for the treadmill, but that just didn't seem to work out. Meanwhile, at my mothers urging, I had taken the treadmill over to my former in-laws where my son might be able to use it only to have him say he is not interested. Now it's sitting there and will likely be sold. If I sell it, I can at least put the funds from the sale towards the fitness center membership (probably cover a few months if I can get anything for the treadmill). The one I had was heavy duty, gym/fitness center quality. Expensive unit when I bought it. If I don't get any serious offers for it, I may hold off on the sale and put it back in my home, though it's a beast and would require at least 3 or 4 healthy bodies to load it back up and get it back in my home.
Watched a couple of flix over the last few days. Going the Distance. Silly rom-com. Not bad, but nothing all that special either. Also watched Letters to Juliet. That was better, but again still predictable rom-com type. If you had to suffer through a date-night movie, that would be acceptable I guess.
That about covers things for now. Hopefully I'll be inspired to write more later.
