It's so sad when it come to this that some people feel the need to use things such as the word black and turn it into a political circus just to get attention. It's bad enough the average person has to think this way but when politicians begin to use their power and their voice to spread such ridiculous comments, it only create a sense of freedom to continue to extend the definition of a word to things that don't even have anything to do with it.
A black hole is a black hole, plain and simple. It's black because, as Dr Guy said, it's black due to absorbing light and not reflecting it. How using the term black hole, to describe a Gov't office swallowing the money it makes, is racist is beyond me. As I stated, weddings and funerals should be offensive to Black people as well.
Some of us go a little far out here. Then again, yesterday's apology by the AMA suggests there just might be something to the fact that racism is, or has been, institutionalized. I see also in today's news that a "black" Ohio community just won a civil rights lawsuit on the claim that it was refused city water on the basis of racial discrimination.
Well, when Jesse Jackson apologized for saying what he meant and felt, that just shows racism and hypocrisy as well. According to him, you can't have an negative opinion on someone of your own race cause that makes you a trader and will also hurt their chances to win? So sad that race always has to play a role when it comes to Obama. If this is how it is during the campaigning, I can't and don't want to imagine how it could be if he becomes President.
People aren't *usually* black and white. There are major exceptions, but usually only on the pale-white troglodyte side. How many people find someone with no tan attractive?
No one is truly white or black, even an albino is not white.
Racism cannot be killed. Everyone is racist. Like attracts like. Like trusts like. If you didn't say black or white, you'd say Jewish or Italian.
No racism can not be killed, especially in a country that promotes the freedom to believe in what you want. As an American, it is my right to believe my son should marry a Hispanic girl (BTW, I don't believe this< just an example). That may be a closed minded mentality but it's my right. I don't believe like attracts like or like trust like. There are many relationships based on non-likes and Jesse Jacksons comments prove that even a Black person can be made at the actions of another Black person. They just don't have the balls to admit their dislikes for fear of being seen as the "one" who killed the Black mans chance to be the first Black President.
